Amazing talent, a behemoth of Indian playback singing has passed on. Asha Bhosle who has given the world of music so much with her totally unique and mesmerising vocals. Her songs have crossed cultures, borders and she was truly a musical giant. ‘Dum Maro Dum’ is the most recognisable song to global audiences however so many more songs she has made immortal and provided beautiful moments for all, such as ‘Chura Liye Hai’, ‘In Ankhon Ki Masti’ and many others. I’ve loved playing her music, the originals, the remixes, observing the merging of different people of all backgrounds over the years dancing to and enjoying her magic.
